I work a 9-5 office job and I don’t love it. My relationship with my coworkers is a tug between tolerating and simmering contempt. Not everyone deserves hating – just the jerks, the loud-mouths, the tactless, and the ignorant.
Once I mentioned astrology in front of them and suddenly they asked me to read their birth charts. I said no but my culture dictates that I should save their face by pretending to look at it. They had no idea they were sharing utmost private information with me.
My eyes scanned through their chart, and noticed some placements. I instantly regretted it. The placements not just revealed a lot about them; they also made me empathize with them. I couldn’t hate them as much as I had.
Astrology appears technical but involves a strong dose of empathy. We observe the real-life manifestations: the behaviors, choices, enjoyment and pitfalls of someone, and we match them to their astrological placements. Sometimes, the match makes sense; sometimes not. By doing so, we can’t help but empathize with them. They are struggling, just like us.
It’s hard to hate someone as much as I want to while also knowing something about their birth chart.
